I have a 92 Ford F-250 Custom extended cab and Every time it rains, I wash the truck, or even take it to the car wash there is always a wet spot on the driver side floor board and I just can seem to find where it's coming from. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
The trim does nothing but look pretty (hides the edge of the glass).
These windshields are set in urethane and have to be cut out and replaced unless they get lucky and get it out without breaking it ... On the flip side they are only about $200 installed.
To verify that is where the water is leaking, use a garden hose and run water around the top of your windshield, it is easier with two people, one on the hose and one inside looking for water leaks ...
Also check your door seals and door windows while you are at it ...

I hope they can remove it without cutting it out. I wanted to stay completely stock with all the windows having the VIN on them. Thank you for the help I really appreciate it!!
They are impossible to remove without cutting them out, they are set in urethane, meaning they are glued in!
To remove, the urethane has to be cut and typically the windshield is broke doing so ... Or at least the edges get chipped thus ruining the glass.
But don't jump to conclusions until you water test to find the leak, it could be a door window or seal leak!

All my windows including rear and front windshields have VIN number engraved on them. The only ones that don't are the small windows on the door.
I'm pretty sure the old guy that I bought it from bought it like that brand new! And it's just been siting in a barn most of the time. And got rid of it because didn't want it sitting anymore.
It was likely done as a theft deterrent by the PO. Useless for the most part! Chop shops could care less about glass ...
Thus it's as simple as having the new one engraved ... As you would have no choice if it's leaking, unless of course they were able to get it out without breaking it, Possible, but unlikely by a glass shop, they just wouldn't care!
I guess you could silly cone it ... The ultimate oxymoron!
Doesn't hurt to clean out the inside of the cowl but might be a challenge for you mechanically to take off & re-install. Trash builds up in there creating a dam that doesn't allow the water to drain easily. Lots of crap builds up behind the fenders too. The seam sealer dries out & shrinks creating pathways inside as well.
