Valley drain hole

Valley drain hole

So the compression type bolt that goes from the fuel pump banjo fitting that screws down on the passenger side head fell off into the valley drain hole. My first question is can this easily be retrieved? 2nd question is will it do harm if I can't get it?

Are you talking about the hole in the rear near the firewall? Or do you have the fuel pump removed and talking about the hole the pump plunger goes into?

The hole near the fire wall.

If it went down the hole most likely is on top of the tranny.
