I ran it in the driveway and had IPR 38 and ICP 1402 @2500 rpm
I have an IPR guess I could throw another at it just to say for sure I mean hell....it's only another 150 bucks as compared to the 5k I've dropped in three weeks
If you've thrown a new one in addition to a new ICP, I think you may be skirting the issue of the HPOP being weak as hell. Your numbers aren't really making it anywhere close to the range they should be in, from what I've read y'all should be hitting in around 3500 for ICP. As already mentioned, they can fail internally on you.
You could pull the IPR and see if the screen is clogged, if it is that could be a pretty good indication that the HPOP guts are going bad on you, or clogging a passage up.
That or based off P2623 being the entire IPR circuit... IPR circuit failure, possibly an open / grounded circuit, stuck IPR or a loose connection. I'd be worthwhile running though and checking the rest of things as well instead of the usual culprits.
I just went through several OSS sensors on mine, turns out I had low voltage due to a poor battery connection and that was making the circuit trip out all crazy like.
This may be a totally idiotic comment and if it is- forgive me as I am new to oil burners but You said you just got back from deployment. Any chance your fuel is contaminated since it was sitting for a long time? I've never been one to trust idiot lights on an instrument panel. Also, any chance some rodents have been chewing on any of your wiring someplace?
I am fighting the same issue right now, only never got an IPR code just an ICP code. I have gone through and done the cheaper known issues, new ICP, rebuilt IPR with new screen and rings. Getting ready to order new standpipes and dummy plugs. Hoping this'll fix it as I really don't want to throw another $600-1000 at it for the HPOP. The only other thing is that I have a bypass oil filter kit on it and noticed that the o-ring at the oil filter cap is leaking under pressure, since it's a sealed system this could be exasperating the issue. Hitting up a scrapyard this week to pick up an oil filter cap and oil filler cap to do a quick swap and see if that helps. Best of luck and keep us posted.
Well I just changed the Hpop with one from diesel site and its rolling coal again. Guess the pump wasn't able to keep up with the demand. Started fine and would run good minus big power upper power band. I drove it to my parents for Father's Day (5hr drive/10 total) and she ran fine.... Minus the upper power band. But now with that new pump she's big time
I had a previously installed bypass oil filtration system, just picked up a brand new oil filter, oil filter cap and oil filler cap since it wouldn't even start a few days later. Now still a no start. Trying to eliminate all other possibilities before dumping $600-1000 into it. Glad you got it figured out, did you go with the just over stock or the higher volume/higher pressure one from Dieselsite?
After everything I've just put into my truck (6k.....) I decided to draw the line. They claim the pump will hold bigger injectors up to the 190s and I don't plan to go big anyway so I didn't get the big pump. Their pump was literally drop in matched replacement. Couple bolts and the pick up tube
