Ac Recharging issue

Hi guys,I've got a 1994 F250 that I've tried to recharge the A/C on. I had the vehicle running,Max A/C and Max fan speed like I was supposed to. I used an entire can of A/C pro refrigerant and never registered in the red zone on the gauge...and the A/C blows out kinda cool but nowhere near cold like it should. Anybody have any idea why it would be doing this? It was my understanding that I should've had some of the refrigerant left over after recharging my system??

It has been years since it's been recharged, I've never used it the 4 years that I've had the vehicle. The previous owner is deceased so I have no way of asking about it's earlier history.

welcome to FTE..
AC pro, or the ac killer does not tell how to properly charge a system. they just tell you put this in, it will work great.
to properly charge an air conditioning system, you first have to pull a vacuum. then you need to put in the charge by weight as per the vehicle specifications. and for your truck that would be 2.3 lbs, or 38 ounces refrigerant
you also need to watch both low pressure and the high pressures when charging to know what the system is doing. just watching the low side will not tell you if there is a problem.
