5 star tuning + k/n cold air intake combo
I am currently running 5 star tuning economy/ perfomance/ towing tunes on my 2015 Ford F350 6.2L GAS. In performance mode I get a very noticable increase in HP and throttle response and lower fuel economy. In economy mode, I get better fuel economy and truck shifts up quicker. Its about the same HP wise as well as throttle response. I havent tried the tuning tune yet but will soon. I am considering adding a k/n cold air intake and was wondering what I can expect from combining both of the intake and tuner. And how is the intake without any tuner. Thanks

Many OEM intakes have been "cold air" intakes ever since they stopped putting the ring air filters directly on top of the carb. Why wouldn't a manufacturer spend $20 on plastic tubes and drill a hole to be able to advertise all the benefits that come from not sucking hot air form the engine bay?
Someone might need to chime in with the exact location for the 6.2, but IAT should be part of your MAF sensor setup, you can check intake air temp after the air filter and sometimes see an increase from aftermarket filters that actually pull more air from the engine compartment.

I have the Livewire TS+ with tunes from 5star & have one of the gauges set for intake air temp on my 2012/6.2 & the intake air temperature runs within 1 degree of the outside air temperature shown on the dash. A "cold air intake" isn't going to do any better than that. They are a waste of money IMO.

If its like 85 outside, its usually saying something like 91. i dont know if this is how its suppose to work, but when it gives you the value it holds that value for a few hours. for example, if it reads 91.08, it will say that in 3 hours even though the temperature did change outside and the truck has been started a couple different times within that time.
