1966 crew cab build

I'm building a 1966 crew cab to be a daily driver and something i can tow a camp trailer around no problems. I have a 2008 350 the i bought with a blown engine and I'm using the parts to convert to 4x4 and such. so what I'm looking for is if anyone has pit the dash into an older truck and if so what are the do's and don'ts.
