Well I need to know if a 1964 f350 firewall should look like, should it be the same as a f100 or f250 or is it different where the brake booster is mounted. here is a pic of mine.
sorry I should have checked it before posting, I have a 1964 f350 that needs a master cylinder I wanted to upgrade to a two pot one. when I removed the booster it had a home made bracket bolted through the firewall into the peddle support and the irregular hole in the picture. the outside holes are the ones that go through the peddle supports. There are master, booster, bracket kits out there but most just say f100 and f250 So I need to know if the firewall is different on the f350 or is mine just hacked up Sorry again for the gibberish in the first post
From what I can tell the bracket itself does not have its own P/N and only was available with the complete booster assembly. The P/N for the booster is C4TZ-2005-F or C4TZ-2005-D depending on your trucks S/N. Hope this helps, good luck finding one!
well you have 2 right? now that I know what it looks like I may just fab a better one than the one that was on there. I will lokk around to see if the yards around here has any Thanks again.
Haha, yes I have 2... but Im gonna keep 2. I bought it for $30 on ebay and knew they were hard to come by, guy had it listed totally wrong but I recognized it.
Any Thoughts on what Master to use to upgrade to a two pot master? any years with a bore size that will work. I need to fab a bracket any way so bolt pattern won't be an issue any help appreciated.
I had the EXACT same unit on my 1966 F350.Using the bracket I had a Dual master booster built for me that I bolted on to it by enlarging the stock hole slightly. I had to "modify" the stock bracket mostly by enlarging the center hole but work out perfect. Booster came with a adjustable eyelet I just cut to size to set up free play. I would suggest going to a brake shop with the bracket and finding a unit that's fits and works. Just ensure the booster clears the valve cover and have the booster rod accept a threaded coupling.
Thanks for the reply Cando. Do you know what the bore size on the master you used? I think I will use a master and booster out of a 80s f350 looks to be close we will see I picked up a core a wrecking and started on the bracket.
