While I was vacuuming my truck the other day I noticed a small red drop of fluid (inside cab) right under where the brake pedal push rod goes into the firewall. Upon further inspection I did notice a little more on the mechanism (seal?)
Upon further research it looks like my Hydroboost is failing. How difficult is it to replace? Any recommendations on brands? Amazon has a CARDONE 52-7357 for $177
It is straight forward...there are writeups on it. Flush the system when you get the new one installed. I'd use a Motorcraft OEM unit, because for me, I only want to do a job once.
I just did this with a Cardone brand also. Easy job. I do have a used unit a guy gave me that seems to be in excellent shape. If you pay shipping you can have it for free.

Thanks for all the responses and thank you spongecop!! for the very generous offer. I actually pulled the trigger on the Cardone one from Amazon with 2 day PRIME shipping.
I sure do appreciate the help!
