I have a 3" d.p. and 4" axle dump already. But it resonates pulling my camper. Any suggestions on 4" single side exit? Was going to order mbrp today but read some reviews on poor fitment. Also would you run a muffler or not? I prefer the deeper toned exhaust with turbo whistle sound

I think you're problem will only be fixed with a resonator or muffler. I don't think an mbrp straight pipe sounds any different than a diamond eye.

I was looking at my stock exhaust last month when I had the transmission out. I think the only fitment issue is the downpipe. If it's a round 3" (as opposed to the flat looking stock one), you'll need to make clearance for it by either hammering down or trimming the firewall pinch weld.
There are plenty of videos on YouTube that illustrate this. I don't think there's anything wrong with the MBRP one. Good luck with the mods!
I think the mbrp systems have some minor fitment issues over the rear end. The diamond eye seems to work well and is a good price. I am going to order the stainless diamond eye exhaust from riffraff next month. Free shipping!
I already have a 3" d.p. so fitment for a new one won't be a big deal. Didn't know how much a muffler changed the tone. I was thinking having a side exit would help vs the axle dump
Having the exit after the axle and not a dump under the truck will decrease the drone considerably, but to make it really quiet, you'll have to add a muffler or resonator.
Incidentally, going to a 5" pipe will lower the tone of the sound and it will be a deeper sound and not as "blatty" at a 4" straight pipe can be.
I have a 5" diamond eye exhaust that dumps out in the factory location.
With all the windows rolled up its noticeable, but it doesn't drone or anything like that. It sounds normal. It's just a quiet exhaust noise. Even at 2500RPMs all day long it's not bad at all. With the windows down at that speed you hear the wind way more than the exhaust.

I totally agree with this. 5" with no cat or muffler.
My rear end whined louder than my exhaust before the pinion bearing was replaced... if that helps giving you an idea of noise level.
Do yourself a favor and buy one 3" band clamp and one 5" band clamp (or 4" if you buy the 4" exhaust and not the 5") and put the 3" one on the two piece down pipe and then put the next 5" one on the first joint where the two exhaust pieces go together.
I used all the crimp style ones and regret it. After i put my exhaust in and tightened down all the clamps i had to pull the transmission again and getting the two pipes apart that got crimped together was a royal PITA. Putting them back together was an even bigger PITA.
I hope you don't have to pull your transmission, but if you do, you'll be a happy camper.
