I know there are other threads, but this one from almost three years ago is the only one that came up in a search.
One of these days I'm going to have to save any I find in a favorites folder!
Anyway, saw this one proudly displayed in a Progressive Insurance commercial yesterday.
1TonBasecamp. i think that,s the old Roy,s Diner/Gas Station.if my memory serves me right. it,s on Route 66 in Amboy CA. it,s been in countless movies and tv adds.
1TonBasecamp no problemo. i know that i did also.and i did it in a 1967 Ford F-100 Camper Special that my Dad bought brand new. we were going to visit family in the mid-west. every summer when school would get out. it would be load up the truck and Head East slight Rock and Roll plug there. i can remember driving on Rt. 66 and seeing people sleeping along side of the road in the middle of Nowhere, and wondering what did they say/do to get dropped off out here? it was my job to keep the truck washed and waxed. the wax was the Turtle Wax in the green glass bottle. you had to wait for it to glaze over and rub it off.i did not care for it to much but when i got done that truck sure did look Bitchin. i wish i could go back and do it just once more.
Saw this in Key West in February.
Real estate is expensive in the Florida Keys, and especially Key West.
The fact they had a side yard to park a vehicle and have space left over, $$$.
I did not feel comfortable walking into their lot to look at it, but from the sidewalk, it looked either recently detailed or perhaps they trailered it down there.
There was no garage so I assume it does not stay there.
I like it, including the side pipes!
Like the old school wide rims all the way around too. I'll take that any day over the crown vic crap that everyone does now.
I had long since stopped watching, but had to jump back in temporarily at least to watch the "Bullitt" episode.
Was fun, but about the same. However, lots of nice background scenery...
Wow, that's a clean one! I like the choice of colors and the fact it's a work truck. Something extra nostalgic about an old truck with a business logo, even if it's not necessarily a vintage logo.
emeraldcoupe Man that thing is just Bitchin. i don,t think that Ford ever built a 3/4 ton short bed, but i like it . if people ask about it, just tell them it,s a one of one that Ford changed their mind on.
