I had my old torque converter go out on my 1990 super duty with a 7.3/e4od and was wondering if I should either flush or replace the radiator since the tranny lines hook into it?
There ya' go from the man himself. Safest bet: replace the radiator and external cooler.
I'm a cheap bast**d so if I know I had a good radiator and cooler I would try to keep it knowing there is chance debris from a failed converter/trans, could remain even after a good flush. Hence the reason for the inline filter on the return line.
