Windshield washer problem

Hello guys and gals, on my 82 f100 my windshield washer quit working. I checked the pump itself and it works, so I am assuming I got a broke wire some where between the washer pump and wiper switch. Or is it the switch itself? I have intermittent wipers so I guess I should price a switch. I switched from regular to intermittent so I guess I'll go under the dash and see if I have a loose connection. I may go back to the regular wiper switch which I still have, but I like the intermittent wipers. Thanks all Fred

I've had the wire break right near the plug a couple of times.
I replaced the wiper motor pigtail and it's been good since.

You might try having someone hold the washer switch while you test for power and manipulate the wires.
This is how I found where mine was broken.

Remove the rubber washer hose from the jet, then try the washers. The jet can get plugged up with calcium (by not using distilled water), wax, other foreign materials.

The hose may be crimped or has collapsed internally, dying of old age.

Lower pic shows the 'whole enchilada.'

The official Ford diagnostics (1981 wiring which I'm pretty sure is the same in this regard for a 1982) are here:
