What is this?

Something to aid in the alignment of the window while it is being installed? Is it something that should be removed or saved or what?

I think that is just a spacer they put in to hold the glass til the sealant sets up. Should have been removed before you took possession

I saw at my dealership where all of the new trucks sitting on the lost had these on them. I wondered the same thing but when I picked up my new one a couple of weeks ago they were gone so I assumed it was something the factory used and the dealer took off prior to delivery.
