I bought a 2003 F350 4×4 today. 130k on the 5.4L . I have to make a run from Chicago to memphis over the July 4th weekend and haul a load back. I just didn't feel the old 95 F250 was reliable enough for that kind of trip.
Yeah the 95 needs it, I still need to replace tie rods, I just replaced the axle bushings a couple of weeks ago. Right side exhaust manifold gasket is leaking and the rubber cup inside the clutch reservoir has a split in it, that may be the reason the cutch is coming in about 1 1/2" off the floor.
The new F350 needs a little attention also, the guy I bought it from just put on new sway bar links and the passenger side one pulled the grommet right out, don't know why unless he installed it with too much tension on the bar. It might have something to do with the 20" wheels the thing is running too. I need to find some stock wheels and get rid of those 20's.
