Just had my oil pan replaced, should I paint the pan and dipstick I live in New England don't want an exspensive job to start rusting out. And what should I paint it with? I'm thinking por is out of the question since por has to be applied to rust or sandblasted metal? Thanks Kyle

It was installed how it came looks like paint

 

Sand it and use bead liner

 

Probably should have painted it before it was installed. Gonna be hard to get between the cross member and oil pan.

Since the pan has been installed your going to have a hell of time painting it
Ive had GREAT luck with "fluid film"
I spray it from time to time and your pan will oit last the truck
While your there hit your entire frame with it
You can pick it up at Lowes
