1992 f-150 5.0. I would gladly like to strangle the engineer that decided to put the Tps on the underside of the TB. Had to take TB off plenum to change it. But it did fix the cold start and idle issues. Also did a 3G upgrade while we where in there.
I recently did exactly what you did. However I did the 3G upgrade first, I trimmed the bracket while still in the truck, later I found that the shavings F'd up my TPS. So I replace the TPS, twice! The first AutoZone TPS was crap right out of the box.

What were the symptoms u were having? Because my truck all the sudden started to almost die at idle or after i let off the gas and stuff and am unsure why
His posted a code 63 saying Tps out of range. When we got in there the wires at the Tps didn't have any insulation. Symptoms where a very low idle and hard to keep running cold. Now we get the cold high idle settles down is whole lot better drive ability.
