I see, that makes sense then, I am all for fixing the symptoms and will have to do some homework on the best option for my situation.

Having said this, it seems like its just "treating the symptoms", I would be curious to know what creates the symptoms/problem since it was not doing it before?

Just to re-visit this real quick, Twitchy- after further inspection I definitely see some sooting around the Boots so I will be ordering new boots to replace the old ones. Thinking about installing a Wicked Wheel at that time as well, install difficult?

Also after towing my camper this weekend and paying attention to what all was really going on with the possible turbo surge, I noticed like I said before, right at 15 lbs of boost I start to hear that pffffssst which I think could be Surge? O/D on I could not make over 15lbs of boost? Could this simply be due to leaky boots?

However when climbing a decent grade w/ the TT, when the truck kicked out of O/D, boost gauge surged to 23lbs then leveled out at 19lbs of Boost and I could no longer hear the noise at all? Could it be something to do with the wastegate getting tired?
