No spark engine cranks
Hello,
The truck is a 1995 F150 XL with a 4.9L engine.
I've used this guide, Part 1 -How to Troubleshoot a No Start (Ford 4.9L, 5.0L, 5.8L)., to determine why I'm not getting any spark at either the spark plugs or the coil. I made the LED tester using Radio Shack parts and get a flashing signal, per the instructions, on the ICM (lead #6 and POS on the battery). I get 12v to the coil on one side and the LED tester flashes when the engine is cranking when it is connected to the other side and connected to the POS side of the battery. The original ICM is gray while the replacement is black, if that matters. Thanks for any insight.
