I highly doubt out, but keep us posted if you decide to give it a go.

You would have to be crazy as a loon to do that. I've seen plenty of 5.4s pushing large boost numbers go well over 175K miles on stock bottom ends. I have yet to see a EB pushing equal numbers make it that long.

If you really want to play I would advise slapping in a nice whipple, maybe even their 4.0 kit. There are plenty of people who can do the tuning once the hard parts are in and I would bet you could hit the 550 to 600 hp range all day long with daily drive-ability.

I imagine the why is because the 3.5 EB has an extra 55 horses and can beat the 5.4 0-60 by over 2 seconds right out of the box. The 5.4 isn't reliable and it's terribly under-powered in a vehicle that weighs 6K lbs. I'm not particularly familiar with the 3.5 EB's reliability record, but it's a huge step up in performance and it doesn't have to do much to be more reliable than an engine that is considered to be excelling among its peers at a paltry 175K.

I have a 2.7 litre ecoboost with 170,000 on it and it runs like a beast still!! Still has PLENTY of power left.. most expensive thing I've to fix is the O2 sensors.. truck is bone stock n still produces like the day it was bought from the lot!!
