WD or overload leafs?

I have the overload leafs installed, but not the frame brackets yet.

The SuperDuty B code rear leafs sagged about 2" with the trailer attached. Trailer sticker says 4,100 pounds.

Highway driving manners are normal, no surprises.

Am looking for input whether I should finish the overload leaf installation or search for a weight distribution hitch?

Thanks!!

its a ride height issue.. not a weight carrying issue.

look at mine.. trailer is 8,300 and I do use a WD... but I also carry 1,500 in the bed of the truck. ( large motorcycle , folding ramp, generator, tools )

Ford said .. trailers over 6,000 pounds should use WD's

I also had a lot of weight in the bed at the time of the picture, but likely similar to what would be in there on a camping trip.

Thanks Chuck! I will hunt for a WD hitch.

Your trailer looks like it is level, you might need a drawbar with more drop also.

Remember boys and girls, the WD hitch does more than raise up the rear end of your truck. It also DISTRIBUTES weight back to the front axle, which gives more stable handling.

Not REQUIRED in all cases, but an IMPROVEMENT in every case. In my opinion, it should be the first step with any towing setup before suspension modifications.

Agree. Did a lot of research on this vs. that before I got our TT. You can do different things to prevent the sag but distributing the weight back to front is the main concern. Go with a WD and solve both problems.

There is almost never an argument against using a WD hitch in my opinion.
