In the 80's fords with EFI and daul tanks used three fuel pumps a low pressure pump for each tank a then a selector valve then a high pressure pump to get the fuel to the injectors, is this correct? Then in the 90's fords with EFI and daul tanks started to use a Fuel Delivey Module, which is a high pressure fuel pump and selector valve all in one unit that was installed directly into each gas tank, is this correct? Did ford ever have any other way of fuel delivery for trucks with EFI and daul tanks?
The 7.5L might have used a different style, but I'm not sure.
The FDM doesn't really have a "selector" valve - it simply blocks its own return line when it's not pumping, so any flowing fuel (from any other tank's pump) doesn't go back to the wrong tank. Using FDMs, you could have as many tanks as you wanted with no selector valve - just a switch.
