460 and smog control
Hello all been a long time since Ive posted but I have a issue I need some help with.After taking all precautions I though neccessary to prevent rodent damage I have failed.
About two weeks ago I got my motorhome out of winter storage had it serviced and basically gone over for summer use.at this point all was well , brought it home and parked it in my driveway.
After sitting about four days Wifey and I decided to use it for memorial day weekend.When I go to start coach thursday nothing worked.after some troubleshooting I discovered that something has basically chewed every wire/vacumn line and radiator hoses on coach.
Now for my question, my coach is a 96 fleetwood on a ford chassis with 460 FI engine.can the smog components be removed on this
engine with any success or will this causes other problems, power loss maybe cause engine to run lean or kill my already miserable mileage.
I dont know which way to go, desmog or try to repair damage.
In my storage building I uses every type of deterent known and usually am succesful, but never though of this happening while coach is basically in use at my house.

Call your insurance, assuming you have comprehensive coverage, and get an estimate to have it all repaired. They will typically cover these issues, especially seeing as you had it out of storage when this happened.
Your call what to do if they total it, but your deductible is probably less than the cost of the parts to fix it yourself. Discretion is the better part of valor.
