Rear bumper compatibility?

Rear bumper compatibility?
I seem to remember that there's some sort of compatibility issue between the Bronco and similar year Ford F-150s, but I don't remember what it is. Can someone check me on that, or am I remembering incorrectly? I ask because the opportunity has arisen to get an OBS rear Ranchhand bumper but I don't want to drop the cash if I can't use it.
