Diesel chatter , normal?
Hello,
I'm new to the diesel world. I have a 2012 f350 lariat 6.7. w/ 51k miles. Under light load or acceleration I get a 'valve chatter' ? Is this a normal diesel combustion sound? It's not insane loud, but noticeable. At cruise, she's whisper quiet. The closest way to describe this is the sound of a carbureted engine with the timing slightly off and has pre ignition.
Thoughts ?
