Hey all. I want to replace the faded Powerstroke emblems on the doors of my truck. Does anyone have any experience with that? I have a 2005 F-250 if that makes any difference. Are they just stuck on their with tape? I also was thinking of replacing or painting the yellowed door molding on my truck. I can't find them in white online only in stainless steel. Do you think it would look good as stainless steel? Would it be easy enough to paint the same white? Also in the pictures you can see that one of my has the two tone paint behind the wheel and the passenger side does not. Would that be easy enough to paint to match?

I fond some special paint for the non metal bumpers and used it to paint the molding on my 03. I sold it about two months after I painted them so I don't know how they looked long term.

Have you tried a magic eraser on the molding?

I pulled mine off just to make sure there wasn't any rust under them and replaced the double stick tape and painted them. Went to a auto paint store and they matched the color and put it in a rattle can for me.

A good hot hair dryer will work wonders in removing the OEM's, if you are trying to keep them. Also helps loosen up the adhesive.

They are held on with double sided tape, hairdryer/heat gun works well in removal. The emblems on the fenders will have two locating pins that will slide into two small holes in the fender. The emblems on the door do not have any pins.
For emblems I went with these; 2 NEW CHROME CUSTOM FORD INTERNATIONAL F250 FENDER BADGES

Nice quality product, I wanted something a little different.

Those are sweet. And reasonably priced. But should I go with the chrome like to original style or the matte black version?

I wish they had a VT365 emblem to replace the powerstroke one on the door.

+1 I was just looking at these in the matte black the other day. Nice custom touch, just wish they were more around $35
