Radiators

I need a radiator for my 78 f250 4.9/300 I6
Does anyone know if champion cooling part #433 will work?
Or
Know of a good brand radiator that will fit.

Not wanting to modify mounting bracket.

I used a Champion on a '78/F250/400 and it fit as advertised. Works fine. For '77 to '79 they only mention the V8's. I don't know why. I would not think the radiator support is different. Worth a look at the pics for hose compatibility and call to Champion I believe.

Champion says they don't make any radiators for the Ford I6.

In that case, Autozone or Rock Auto or your favorite parts store should have a reasonably priced offering. Or "radiators.com" which has served me well a couple of times.

It's not the core support, it's where the outlets are that I think is the difference. It's been a while since I had a 6 cyl.

The inlet can be on either side outlet has to be on passenger side.
Dimensions are roughly 24x24 overall
Didn't check core dimension

Hm well I'm pretty sure my extra radiators all have an outlet on the driver side. The drain screw is on the passenger side. Sorry I couldn't help

Ok well I just measured to be sure and the bolt hole are 23" apart width.
Outlet is on passenger Side.
Inlet on driver side.

Inlet can be on either side not on center.
I've tried summit, jegs, champion, radiators.com, autozone, napa, and a few others.

I found a 1 row oem through O'Reillys but I want something alil better.

If u have any thoughts on where I might get one plz let me know

AZ lists several for a '78 F250/I6. I assumed 2 WD if that makes a difference.

I bought an autozone radiator and it has a really nice aluminum core with plastic tanks like new oem ones. Cools great!

I don't know anything about this company so I'm apprehensive to endorse or buy myself, but I've been eyeing a radiator they have for a 302 since it's only $53 (plus shipping).

Point being, they claim to have radiators specifically for 78 F250 I6
1978 Ford f-250 All Aluminum Radiator 4.9L 6 300 | All Aluminum Radiator | Ford Parts

Anybody familiar with the store? They couldn't even give me an answer via email where the drain petcock was on this one or if it is standard NPT: 1979 Ford F-150 ALL ALUMINUM RADIATOR 5.0L V8 302 | All Aluminum Radiator | Ford Parts

Can anyone vouch for Shepherd Auto Parts?
