So I really started to miss having a backup cam on my truck as soon as I started hitching the trailer up every weekend to go camping. I am pretty good at lining it all up, but still the cam is real helpful and also stops arguments with the wife while hitching.
I bought the Garmin BC-30 wireless camera, that connects to the Nuvi 2597 that I keep on my driver's side dash all the time anyway.
I mounted it under the gate on the light bar and wired the power into my reverse lights.
It seems to work pretty well and being that I wired it like I did, the GPS comes on when I start the truck and the camera turns on when I put it into reverse.
It took me 45 min to install it including the holes I drilled into the light bar and modifying the bracket for the camera.
