coming back with another question to my previous question about a Proportion Valve. I got a new Valve put on but I am starting to get the same symptom again. No Fluid going to the Rear brakes. Fluid going to the front but not the rear. When I put the new proportion valve on and started to bleed the rear first wheel cylinder I was started to get fluid then closed it off to go to the other side. when to go bleed that and nothing. when back to the other side just did and was not getting any fluid at all this time was before but not now. starting to wonder what is going on. New master cylinder new proportion valve new wheel cylinders on the back both sides Whats going On ????? I am going Monday to get a Vacuum Pump to see if the lines are holding pressure not much I can do right now till I get that I guess. Any Ideas or thoughts would be Great.
Pumping the Brakes Holding the petal Down till the bleeder is closed back up rechecking the Fluid in the Master then doing it again.
You need two people; Brake bleeder closed, tell them to push and hold the pedal down and while they are holding the pedal down, open the bleeder, then shut the bleeder and tell them to lift. Then they push and hold again and you open and shut the bleeder again, then they lift again.
With no one in the cab you should be able to open both rear bleeders and wait, and they should start dripping. When one starts dripping close that bleeder, and wait for the other to drip, and then close it. This will fill the lines and when you get a helper to push the pedal, bleeding goes faster.
Make sure to keep an eye on the fluid level in the master. On the dual reservoir masters, it does not hold enough fluid to fill the rear system when it's dry.
I have found the hand pump vacuum bleeders don't work too well.
I was able to buy a used vacuum type made by SnapOn tools. It worked well the only time I used it but new it is not cheap.
What you may need to get is this Motive Products Power Bleeder Kits 0350 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing to power bleed the system.
I found on line (another forum I am on) some one made one from PVC pipe & air fittings. I have all the parts to make this just needed to make the master cover part with gasket.
I should find the parts and finish it as I will need it for my project truck.
Just thinking if you start at the master bleeding the rear system (2 person or power bleeder) at each fitting you could tell where the fluid is being blocked.
I have had to do it this way on 1 car the whole system was new.

I've got 2 different vacuum bleeders and for our trucks with the proportioning valve, they do not work much at all, especially for the front brakes.
I forgot to say in my post the SnapOn vacuum pump you hook to shop air. It is the shop air that causes the vacuum un like the hand pumps.
I have only used it once on my 02 Durango on the rear drum brakes when I replaced the wheel cly.
