400 build
I've had my 78 f150 with a stock 351m for 8 years now and recently decided to make it my hunting truck. The 351 did fine as a farm truck but it leaks oil and just won't cut it for moderate road trips and some of the off-road conditions. I already plan to do a 400 conversion but want to do a mild build. I've done some motor work but never torn one down this much and could use some advice. I plan on getting higher compression pistons(I know I need new ones anyway for 400 crank so might as well go aftermarket), comp xtreme energy cam kit (with double roller timing chain), msd distributor, shorty headers, and true duals. I am open to all suggestions and any information. Please let me know any thoughts yall have or any other things that I may need to keep in mind as I do this or address while I'm in there. Been reading on this forum for many years and have learned a whole lot thanks to everybody on here.
