I got a 6 cyl in a 1990 Ford F-150 EFI and it starts great, idles great ,and runs great on the hwy. The thing is, at speeds between 30 and 45 it sputters. I can give it more gas when it does this and pulls right out of it. I got new cap rotor wires plugs.
ANY IDEAS????

Carling90, I got the exact same problem in my 92 except mine does it in the middle of all gears (manual). I also replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and fuel filter. I recently had a new clutch put in (slave cylinder went and left me stranded. Pulling tranny, might as well replace it all). I'm at a loss. I was wondering if mine might actually be the clutch slipping. I will certainly keep an eye on this thread with hopes of finding a solution.
Carling90 I have the same problem. At about 35-45 mine starts to buck. I am also hopeing this thread will help. I do have a few novice questions though. What do you mean by tps. Not sure what that is. Hopfully someone has had this problem and fixed it. I will keep a watch.
A bad tps will not always throw a code, expecially on a ford,I have replaced many bad tps's that did not throw a code, you can do a sweep test with a anolog volt olm meter or have a shop do it with a vantage power meter
You can buy a Haynes manual for your vehicle which outlines the procedure. There are also multiple posts on the subject in this site...just do a search and you'll find more than you need. All you need is a simple analog voltmeter or a Ford code reader (available at any parts store).
