Here is a link for some rust repair I did. The rocker and underside was 2 years ago and the doors were 7 years ago. Nothing has popped since.

For those who have fixed their doors, do you re-install the lower door seals? I've got to do mine, and didn't know if I need to buy new seals, or try and find clips to use my old seals.

I reused my old seals and clips. Removing them is tedious so as not to break them. The seals keep dirt and water out of the opening at the bottom of the door.

I reinstalled the seals and clips. I have an assortment of clips so I found some that worked for the ones I broke when pulling them out.

I'm just prepping the cancer areas now with port metal prep. I looming inside the doors and don't see any rust. How did you get the por-15 inside the bottom of the doors?

I used a cheap brush and just dipped the brush and loaded it all in the bottom of the door real heavy.

Ok, l did my first coat today and it went on real slick. Inside the doors with a flash light and brush. Not much rust inside, but tomorrow a second coat for sure!

Had a very similar problem with mine as well. used wire brushes to knock off all the loose stuff, spray with black star rust converter let dry, paint with por15 let dry, spray a good heavy dose of fluid film inside of door skins to help with future rust prevention, reinstall seals, been good for 3 years
