P0246e Code

My check engine light was on today. Don't know when it came on, could have been yesterday or today as I heard no chime. My H&S reported it as P0246E which isn't in the list. Is this a variation of the Turbo wastegate code?

I cleared it for now.

Thanks, didn't know if the E suffix meant anything to change what the code was reporting.

yup, already did that and no matches with the "e", maybe it's just the H&S adding that, if I see it again I'll use one of my other scanners.

I found the code with the e at the end but they only referred to VW's and didn't state anything different than the non e code.

P0246 or P246E?

Are we talking P0246 or P246E? I suspect P246E is the correct DTC. If so, you likely have a failed or failing EGT 1_4 sensor.

Doh! You're right.

Just checked the pic I took of it again and it's P246E, not P0246E. So it's an EGT sensor code.

Found a letter on my desk from Ford that EGT sensors are warranted for 11yrs/192kkm, whichever comes first. Next time I get the code I'll take it into the dealer. Not sure if they can picked up a stored code from the last time it was on.
