Thanks to all who wrote in. I think what I'm really looking for are sites of existing (sp?) shops that I could borrow (i.e. steal, rob) ideas from. Seeing how an actual shop fits together would help me alot more than the lame drawings I've done...
The book that was suggested, however, will hopefully show how much space a tool needs as well as space needed around a tool (anyone try to work at a lathe with a water heater pressed against your back?). I'm hoping to not make the same mistakes (or worse mistakes) as before.
Hey guys! I just found that site and haven't had a chance to use it yet. I guess the coll thing about it is, you put in the dimensions of the space and then start adding equipment, tool boxes, desks, chair, etc., by their size. And you can drag and drop evrything around, plus it's in 3-D! I'm just going to mess around with it and see how it works..
Of course, if it's at all remotely difficult, I'll end up buying the book! HEE HEE!
