Yes sir I am. Please forgive me if I have used the incorrect term. I've seen knuckle, spindle, they're the same thing, the spindle connects to the knuckle.
I'm confused.
But yes, 3106, the part the ball joints are pressed into!
That picture is showing a kingpin type spindle.
Now what I have found with my 81 trucks is there are 2 different spindles.
1 Spindle is for the small wheel bolt pattern and the other for the big wheel bolt pattern.
There is also 2 different kingpin sizes listed based on power or non-power brakes.
I have not confirmed this yet but have confirmed the 2 different spindles based on wheel size as I tried to swap brake parts (rotors) between the 2 and found thay do not interchange.
Again this is for 1981 F100/F150 with kingpins so may not be an issue with your 1983 truck using ball joints. Dave ----
