2017 Build & Price....sort of

Found this a little while ago. Click on the link that says "new" and go to the Chrome site. They've got the pricing up for the F-250 line...all trim levels and options, MSRP and invoice.

https://www.abfcu.org/loans-2/chrome-nada-carbook/

Looks like a pretty steep increase kind of like the F-150s when the 2015s came out.

There is no doubt, if the price point continues I will end up here:

https://www.freightlinertrucks.com/T.../Recreational/

The closer the prices get to each other, the closer I get.....

That's pretty cool, looks accurate based on what I've seen too. Thanks for sharing.

And folks wonder why it's so hard to find a really nice small car. Our value perceptions are so very closely tied to size. Then again, I'll bet about 1/3 of the folks on this forum with an SD could do just fine with a F150, or Ranger even!

Fair point, and it's a cycle, it's what we're fed because marketing depts. decide to produce, so, it's what we perceive.

You might be right on the 150 thing too, but, in terms of utility, depending on options, an F350 and a 150 may have the same price tag. Most will tell themselves "heck, the 350 does more for the same cost, I get more for my money".

If I had that freightliner in my driveway right now, my cost per mile over the next 8 years would probably reduce nicely, for reasons not needed to hash out here.

I'm done derailing the thread now.

Yeah Frantz...most could do with a 150..or even 2 wheel drive, but there's one thing I CAN'T do without....the 4x4. I need it to launch and retrieve my boat on the rocks when the lake is down...and that seems to be always with this Texas drought the last 10 years. I just love the towing with a diesel. 5400 pound wakeboard boat and a 9k 34 foot bumper pull travel trailer. I'll never go down to a 150 over my 250 diesel. But what I am seeing more of...and what I decided to do was the "One/Two punch...Truck/Patrick Swayze mobile" I have a loaded 2011 King Ranch...but I bought a stripped down 2013 Ford Focus as a gas saver, mileage king, take it to the bad parts of town second car. It has saved me TONZ of gas/diesel since 2013 just being able to not have to take my truck everywhere. Just got 36 mpg on a round trip to Austin yesterday. It really is the best of both worlds. Teaching my daughter to drive in it (she also drives the truck) but so much easier to tool around in. If I go to the movies, I can rest easy my door handle won't be punched through when I come out to the Focus. Not sure if you remember the movie Roadhouse...but that's why I call it my Patrick Swayze mobile....LOL

Is that 80.5 inches tall with the 17" or the 18" wheels??

That's really way too tall for me. Yeah the garage door is 7' tall, which is 84 inches, but the garage door mechanism door latch and the door raising system hangs down by a couple of inches.

That is awfully close. The outgoing F250 4x4 is 79.7, and that leaves me an inch.

Total bummer. I guess I could get a lowering kit...

I only see the 6.2L gas engine. No 6.7L diesel.

Thanks. Little slow here. I didn't realize I needed to go to the build process to get to a diesel.

Yep, it's an option after you pick the trim level.
