Source for this captured nut on rad support?

Any idea where I could get one of these for my 68? Later years they changed the style. I may have to make a hole to the left and use a u shaped captured nut slid in from the side.

Appears to be 379484-S in pic, but standard parts in pics may not have the complete suffix, so...

379484-S2 .. Blind Nut - 5/16" -18 / Obsolete

Also used to attach fenders to cowl on 1965/68 Galaxie/LTD

KLIMESH MOTOR SALES in Calmar IA has 1 = 563-562-3241.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 4 = 800-543-4959.

YADKIN VALLEY MOTOR CO. in Wilkesboro NC has 4 = 336-838-4155.

any classic mustang vendor will sell them, though I'm not sure you can get the nut by itself. here's one link, but if you look around you can probably get it cheaper.

Look at my post #2 again, as I edited in some additional info.

Note: This 379484-S2 nut is not listed for any year Mustang.

I'm not saying your wrong, but here is the mustang nut, 5/16x18. there are one on each rocker panel and one on the core support.

The 379484-S2 nut used on 1967/69 F100/350's is only listed in the 1965/72 Ford Passenger Car Parts Catalog for 1965/68 Galaxie/LTD

There are dozens of different blind nut configurations, one type does not fit all.

Upper & Lower pics: Here are two pages from the 1965/72 Ford car parts catalog showing fender attaching parts. Mustang is parts catalog symbol F

Look at all the different 5/16" nut-retainer (blind nuts) listed. Lower pic (4th entry) shows the 379484-S2 blind nut for 1965/68 A (Galaxie/LTD).

The Mustang vendor failed to list the original Ford part number for their repro blind nut.
