Yea, and I appreciate that too. Hate to wait a week for the hitch to show up, or worse, get to delivery day, and then realize I cant bring the new trailer home....

Now that you ordered. Spend some time Googling your same part number for the hitch and adapter. If you find it cheaper, send the link to etrailer and they will refund 110% of the difference. I've used their low price guarantee every time I've bought from them. Works great and gets you the best price on the net...

Big Thumbs up! I'll probably continue to have questions, so bear with me.

One of which is with regards to Residential fridge with icemaker/water. If I shut the trailer down for a couple/few weeks, and put it in storage, how does one keep the water from going bad? I mean I realize I will dump whatever ice is in the maker, but what about the rest? And I would expect to run fresh through to flush things out when prepping for the next trip, but seems like water in the icemaker could turn "green"? Or does it just dry up?

There's a lot more gadgets in this new unit that I am used to having....

Still mulling that one over. If we were able to be there for the holiday weekend, it would probably be a no-brainer. the fact that many will already be gone by the following weekend....well you know.

I looked at a few GC's before buying my Jayco. I like the desk in the floorplan. Unfortunately all the ones I looked at up here were in rough shape with a lot of underside rust and they hadn't worn well.

The way I handle that is I never shut the refrigerator down. It serves as a remote beer storage facility on my property. That way I don't have to go all the way back to the house if I'm working on the tractor and get thirsty.

Water lasts... Once the antifreeze is blown out in the spring, I don't drain the water from my lines or HW tank until I winterize next fall. I always have a bit in my fresh tanks as well to use while traveling. Never had an issue...

Yea, that's my MO in the old trailer too, but those pipes are sealed. Just didn't know if open water in the ice maker would be an issue. Sounds like its not.

Well, my water tanks aren't sealed. They have an open vent and a lot of surface area. (150 gallons worth of tanks...) If I get ebola I guess I was wrong....LOL...

Chances are if you get ebola, we will never know. So, it'll still be okay to leave the water as is! LOL

I do the same, myself. Just leave it in, and not worry about it.
