I would imagine how the ic is placed would make a difference also. I mounted mine fairly low. I put a piece of wood on top Of the tube and sat the ic on that and built my mounts.

 

How have I missed this until now? Guess I'm super Lame. I knew the work was going on but didn't know there was a thread to boot! Just spent breakfast catching up. Lol
