89 bronco problems

I have a 1989 bronco ii and it has problems running.

Usually it will start right up. But after I drive around for 5 minutes or so and I let up off the gas. It just suddenly dies. And I was at McDonalds the other night and I had to keep my foot on the gas at the drive through so it wouldn't die. But after waiting for 10 minutes it died anyways. And then I have to wait roughly an hour before it will start up again after that.

I just got the battery replaced today because it was very old thinking that might be the problem. Well it's still doing the same thing as before.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks

idle control valve could be dirty or malfunctioning.
TPS not responding properly
TFI module could be a possibility
Could be lots of things.
Try pulling trouble codes from the computer and see if there is any information there.
Check fuel pressure, especially when it won't start.
Check for spark when it won't start.

And it can't hurt to pull the IAC (idle air control) off the side of the manifold and clean it up.

When it begins to die on me it sounds like that it's running out of gas. But I know that's not the case.

When it comes to cars I'm as ignorant on the matter as anyone can be. Where would I go to find out how to do some of the stuff yall have suggested?

A Chilton's or Haynes manual would be a good start.
The vehicle repair guides at www.autozone.com are the equivalent of Chilton's, but I find the electronic version more difficult to use. I can find something faster in the hardcopy version.
You could find some manuals and other information at the library.
Any family members/friends/neighbors that dabble in auto repair?
And, of course, FTE. Let us know how else we can help, and we'll do what we can.
