Hey guys, my 2012 F-150 XLT V8 catalytic converter needs to be replaced.
Could you please advise which brand to use as a replacement? is the Davico Mfg reliable in this case?

I can't answer your question about Davico, but I just wants to comment and make sure that it wasn't still under warranty. I think the converter and other parts of the emissions system have an extended warranty, like maybe 8 years/80,000 miles.

No warranty as i passed 80000 miles already. What about removing the catalytic converter? would the sound be like crap?
How do you know it needs to be replaced? Check engine light on?
I am afraid the one on my Town Car has a metallic rattle when it is cold. Off topic but does anyone if that is possible?
The engine light is on and the error given through the scanner is about the cat. The mecanic confirmed that i need to change the cats. The truck power has been diminished as well.
Now what choices do i have? Can i replace the cats with something else? What about hollowing my cats, would my truck sounds like crap?
It would sound like crap if you hollow them out.It would be loader though. I ran a few cars with no mufflers straight off the cats, put x pipes on which take cats off and ran through mufflers also.
