Hey Y'all

Just thought I'd say howdy to my Compañeros with F-150s here.

Howdy .

Okay, little bit about me/my truck.

I just bought a 1995 F-150 for $4,300 (Happy birthday to me . It has a 351 and an auto. 4x4, with Warn aftermarket manual locking hubs, and I think a 3.55 ratio(don't quote me. I'm not certain and I don't have the paperwork in front of me). 182k miles on the truck, but it's in really good condition for the year.

The people I bought it from were the second owners, and they bought it in 1997 with 5,000 miles from a dealership. They put a heavy-duty aftermarket suspension kit on it, and used it to tow a 30' toy hauler, and later a 35' fifth wheel travel trailer back and forth between Montana and California.

Anyway, the engine compartment had only one spot of oil in it (my fault. the dipstick flung oil when I checked it), and it's clean, sans some road dust from the test drive.

At the moment, it's wearing 31" BFGs all-terrains, and they have about 10,000 miles left.

Okay, enough rambling now In reality, I just wanted to post a picture. :P

Looks like a nice solid truck. What's your plans for it?

Sorry it took so long to get back! Been busy!

To answer your question, it'll be my transportation through college, though I'll probably use it for work (I'm an ag major) as well.

As far as any modifications, I'm looking into new intake/exhaust. Since it's a California truck, It's choked to death by smog junk. But I won't be in California much longer.

Welcome to the forum. Looks pretty clean, should easily get you through school. My mom had a 95' that looked just like that, but was waaay rotted before it hit 180k (MN truck). If it saw heavy tow duty, you should change fluids throughout the truck. It looks like it'll need cab mounts (misaligned box/cab lines). Mine needs them too..

The previous owner flushed everything about 1,000 miles ago, and it hasn't pulled anything in the mean time. I think it should be fine for the time being. As to the cab mounts, I think they are okay. You can't tell in the picture, but the place it's parked is pretty uneven.

Anyway, I've put about 150 miles on it since I got it, and I'm averaging about 13-ish mpg. That's on curvy mountain roads, with my rack doing a good imitation of a parachute( for reference, I was going down a 7% grade in overdrive, and I didn't touch the brakes, but I never broke 45.) . I'm thinking I'll probably take it off soon.
