I have been looking for a set of double panel mirror's to replace my stock mini mirrors on my 2003 F350. E-bay seems to have a few vendors selling (Chinese?) made mirrors (non-power) for around $200. Has anyone ever used these mirrors?
I got em. 08+ style on my 03. Power Lighted. I had to splice my plugs....watched a couple youtube videos on it, but the total job was less than an hour. I think mine came from California or something, but def Chinese made. Very high quality, only issue is up and down are backwards....no big deal...I don't drive around constantly adjusting my mirrors
I have a set of the 08 style on my 99 also. The directions are off, I need to switch the wires around, and the top mirror looks kind of wavy but its not bad. I'd do it again vs spending an arm and leg for oem.
Had them on my 1995 C2500 and only complaint was once fully extended, they did vibrate a bit. I doubt it was even 50% the mirror's fault as the total mounting area on the GM was less than 4" triangle.
Here's another vote for 1AAuto.com. They are similar in price, but the quality is higher and the warranty is spectacular. I have the '08+ power set from them on my truck (along with headlights, fogs, and '11+ tails) and they've been excellent from the get-go.
Another vote for 1AAuto.com I had them on my 03 and loved them. I had one crack and they replaced both mirrors no questions asked. Great Company to work with.
Love mine. I got lighted, heated, power, manual telescope and fold. Earlier style, like a 99, but with lights. I had to run all the wiring to make them do stuff but I enjoy that.
I got mine on amazon, one of the chinese sets for 190 bucks. They aren't bad. They came wired with plugs for 03-07 and an adapter for 99-02 trucks, so there is no wiring involved. Only complaint I had was my passenger mirror had a weird wave in the glass when I first got it. I have had them for a couple years now and either the wave smoothed out or I don't notice it anymore. I have also heard good things about the 1aauto mirrors.
Had a set of the low budget ebay mirrors on a 2013 F150. After a week or so of being parked a block away from the ocean in Daytona, the plastic "chrome" cap had pitted.
You get what you pay for in most cases.
My customer service experience with 1A Auto for other items has been fantastic.
