P0603 means you disconnected the batteries at some point.
Thanks for the conformation on the battery code. Is there any thing else that throws the P1280 code, before I spend the $ on the ICP? Around me its $180 plus $80 for the pig tail.
What about the sensor in the back of the hpop reservoir? It is tied in to the same harness as the ICP?

Could be the sensor, could be the pigtail. Stick a safety pin on the wires, 1 wire is ground, 1 wire is +5 volts and the last wire is signal to PCM. Measure each with a volt meter if you have one. Above code means PCM is not detecting any signal from ICP. At idle it should be about 1.2 volts, IIRC.
Sensor on back of HPOP reservoir is engine oil temp.
Ok replaced ICP sensor it was bad. Cleared code and it runs like a beast again. Installed aeroforce scangauge in empty spot in dash next to idiot lites, looks great! Now I will get the rest of accessories to monitor bost, egt, and trans. temp. Thank you to all that gave help in diagnosing the problem and help with engine code deciphering!

Scan gauge is already setup to monitor boost and EOT. You really only need EGT gauge. Got this one from Riffraff ...
