And a ten year old battery at that.
(must be doing something right)

My jack crank clips are held with stainless pop rivets

the second hole (and the other side of the wing nut clip for the lug wrench) is for the smaller shaft used on five lug wheels.
My wrench broke on the side of the highway, destroying my knuckles.
I have an 1 1/16" impact socket welded on now (and it doesn't fit right in thee holder)

The second battery is a deep cycle for my camper. I figured that upper radiator support would make an excellent conductor, so I connected two short ground cables to it, instead of running one long, expensive cable all the way across.

The rest of the system is wired the same as the factory camper battery package. A continuous duty solenoid on the positive side connects the two batteries when the ignition is on, so they both charge together. With the engine off, the solenoid is relaxed and the batteries are isolated. Any load from the camper (lights, furnace, etc) only discharges the second battery. The main battery is unaffected. The system works slicker than snot and has never left me stranded.

That battery doesn't see much strenuous use, as it's only for my camper (see my previous post).

For whatever reason, this truck is super gentle on batteries. The previous main starting battery lasted over 12 years! I load tested it at least twice a year and it was still going strong. I figured 12 years was pushing my luck so I finally changed it as a precaution.

I do stand corrected on all of them being tack welded, as obviously all of them are not, regardless of who's database I'm being called names in.

I got to thank you guys I just checked what jack parts I have and between the project truck, it only has the plastic handle clip and 1 needed wing bolt, the parts truck has everything else but the jack.
That my be in the bed under the hood or up under the tool box.

I gave a quick look in my stash of jacks and did not see one but I think I packed one when we moved.
If not I am sure they easy to find at a swap meet.
