The Red Wreck
I just inherited a 1951 Ford pickup we call the Red Wreck. I drove it when I was a teenager. I have many great memories such as bumping it to get the starter unlocked. It was my uncle's and then my dad's. My dad was going to sell it many years ago. I convinced him to save it for me. It has sat unused in a garage for 20 years. He took the plugs out and filled the engine with oil. I just inherited it, rust and all. I plan to fix it up. I spent many childhood hours with my dad while he worked on cars, but haven't done any hands-on work in many years. It is in Gulf Breeze, Florida while I travel for work. I hope to work on it between assignments and get it on the road this summer. I'll have the body work done as I can afford. My sons will help me with the basics. I'm very excited about this project.
