Problem with leaks....

yeah i think you are right since my wife doesnt know how to start her once a week and let her run for about 15-20 mins to keep things lubricated and well....guess i have to go back to square one on all the gaskets and fix her up....she will be inspected and registered within the next week....that way i can legally drive her to some shops for some interior work and body mods....as we say here the project never stops...it continues with up-to-date goodies that come out later on.....hehehehe

The torque converter may have drained back due to the long term storage. Once its fired up it will probably be ok. Be sure to top off the trans. My dads car does this every winter and as long as he runs it, it stays ok.

One major problem though,

The truck is not leaking from the oil pan but from up above where the timing is set...i got a brain cramp on the name right now but it is dripping bad when she runs but not when she is sitting...now the leak on the power steering is new to me...still going through some trial and error there to see if that is the REAL enemy here...

What engine do you have? I know that the y-blocks will leak oil from strange places if the breather tube gets plugged up. Have you checked the breather tube lately, (if you have one) Good luck, John

Angry Problem with leaks....

The truck is still leaking from the same area and it is a 302....i think i have to take her to the engine builder and make him fix this like NOW!!!!!! I do have a 1-1/2 yr warranty on her since coming out the shop last November...so my time is not up yet...also the tranny guy is going to get some ear worth also...shouldn't be leaking either....paid to much money for this project to roll and have unexplained leaks from rebuilds....makes you think about the creditability of the shops out here in el paso, tx...

Well I hope it's nothing major. Thank goodness for warranties! Let us know. John
