I can't post pictures??

I can't post pictures??
Okay honest, I'm not stupid. I used to post pictures in threads here but haven't been able to figure it out again for a while. I click on the yellow square with the mountain and sun, I browse my device and find the picture, download it and then click INSERT and the picture disappears. So today I figure there's got to be a tutorial somewhere. On the main forum page on the black banner I happened to click on gallery and lo and behold there's the pictures I just tried to put in my post! What am I doing wrong?

Don't know if it will help but you might clear out your cache and your cookies and try again.
Otherwise, you may have to host the pictures on Photobucket, copy the photo link and then post it here.

I've used Photobucket and Imageshack in the past but they are asking for money now, no more free ride I guess. Also I noticed on an old post of mine that I had use one of the above that all my pictures I posted are now blank. I like the convenience of using this boards picture posting feature. My truck is almost done at the paint shop and I will be wanting to post a lot of pics of it as it comes together. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong but I used it before alright and why are the pictures showing up in the site's Gallery? I sent off an email to the administrators.

I have lots of photos on Photobucket and presently, it doesn't cost anything. You can upgrade at Photobucket, for a fee, for more storage space though.
