PLEASE HELP! 2011 6.7 a/c problems

I have a 2011 f250 lariat with the dual climate control and cooled/heated seats and for the last few months my ac has been acting up. Most days my compressor kicks off and on never on for more than 10 seconds it also blows through all vents no matter what setting it is put on. then out of the blue some days the compressor stays on and cools the truck great but its rare and if its running and I turn the truck off it wont kick back on most of the time.so far I have replace the low side switch replaced the compressor. checked for leaks multiple times never bleeds down pressure replaced everything I can think of under the hood. if anyone has any advice please help.

Have the system checked for leaks. Sounds like it's low on freon. As for the vents. It could be a bad actuator on the blend door or something like that. A vacuune line may have come off under the dash.

If it had leaked down, it would never have come on and cooled properly at any time. The OP stated "some days the compressor stays on and cools the truck great ". Eliminate that idea....

The 2011 does not use vacuum, it's all-electric. Eliminate that idea, also....

Ok, this may sound harsh, but quit replacing stuff when you don't know how the system works or what's actually wrong.

Have you done ANY of the diagnostics in the factory service manual?

There are vacuum lines under the dash for the blend doors on the heater box. The only way you can know for sure if the freon is low is to put some gauges on it and see what the pressure is. Mostly the reason the compressor comes on and off is because of low pressure. it could be the switch but to replace that you have to dump the ac charge. Check to make sure the wires are on the switch. Have you been under there working in that area that you might have knocked the wire loose? This is best done at a shop because if there is freon in the system than there is a lot of pressure in the system. Even when its off.

Wrong, as I already told you. It's all electric.

The only way you can know for sure if the freon is low is to put some gauges on it and see what the pressure is.
Wrong again. If the system operates normally occasionally, the charge is probably adequate for operation. It is necessary to determine the reason for it being intermittent.

it could be the switch but to replace that you have to dump the ac charge. Check to make sure the wires are on the switch.
Wrong and wrong again. This truck doesn't even have a "switch", it uses a pressure sensor called a transducer. Older vehicles that did use pressure switches had Schrader valves behind those switches that allowed their replacement without loosing refrigerant.

You should probably refrain from giving advice about things you don't understand....

You'd probably be a long ways ahead to simply take it to a Ford dealer where they have the proper equipment and resources to troubleshoot it effectively. This newer generation of all-electronic control system requires a certain level of knowledge and expertise to effectively diagnose. A shade tree or old-school mechanic is simply going to go around in circles because they don't have a clue on how the controls work.
