I don't think mine does, but I use mine everyday in my service truck, in my wife's car, and in our 02 when towing, so I would either have to track them all or the trailer each time.
My thought is to leave it in the camper, tie it into the 12v line from the 7 pin so it is only powered when hooked up and it records every move of the trailer.
Seems like this should be a simple problem to solve. I guess buying a second GPS would be one way to do it, not sure. What about when it is left on and the GPS battery runs down in between trips?
Just tried 2 old units I have, nuvi 200 and 1490, both get a signal inside the camper and power off when external power is removed. The trip logs are stored in hard memory I believe as the nuvi 200 log shows 61,xxx miles logged and the battery was dead when I tried to power it on.
The 2012 and later F 250/350/450's have this tracking available when you set up your trailer info on the dash system.
Guess you could use this feature as another reason for an upgrade!

That's not going to help if you use more than one vehicle. Not a good solution

You can put more than on trailers info in the system. I think its up to 4 or 5, I only have one for now.
BTW my upgrade idea was intended to be used as more of an excuse than a solution just in case the switch needed to be justified to the better half.
