No quarrel, but since we’re spending other people’s money here the CL wheels are a safe/cheaper fix. With no shipping costs. To do the 22.5s you’re looking $500+/- per wheel/tire x 6 = $3000 vs $800. Stu

Plus this CT CL ad offers a set of six with tires for $800. I have no connection to this seller. Stu

Thanks Stu! - Dang just followed the link and the posting was expired. Someone must have jumped on it already quick! Sorry to miss that one. $3k is pricey if I can avoid it but greatly appreciate the leads for sure. Back four rims are all very solid but pulled a front one and rust has eaten into it on the inside on the band that goes around the middle of the rim. Will post a picture. The bands seem to be a solid ring on the inside of the rims? a friend of mine says they were suppose to have a opening (cut) on the band where they can be take out when taking a rim apart for widow makers? I don't know enough about them myself.

Hmmm, somebody must have jumped on that set. The wheel you have pictured is a widow maker. The kind your friend mentioned is the locking side ring style that has a Goodyear rim design. Others designed by Firestone are also locking ring style, but have an unbroken ring. As I mentioned before, living in CT you might check with Chuck to see if he has an available set of locking ring 20s, or even a set of used 22.5s. And see what he says about a new set of 22.5s. I know he keeps his eyes open for them used. If nothing else is found locally I have a set without tires that I could ship through Fastenal’s 3rd Party Logistics service that is generally at a fairly reasonable cost. Stu

The mo-better ($$$) choice is still going to be new 22.5's though, and you'll never have to worry about wheels and tires again!

CL wheels are relisted! Jump quick. Unless they are not as described, I’ll not send pics of mine. Stu
